Monk for a Month
On the 26th and 27th December 2009 staff and guests of the Monk for a Month programme along with over 20 novice monks headed off to a Palong (hill tribe) village to deliver much needed blankets, second hand clothes and food.
Despite many tourists visiting this village the people here gain very little from the influx of... foreign "visitors". Some of the novices at our temple come from, and still have family living, in this village and it was with this in mind that the village was chosen for this years "Novices for Children" visit.
